Could someone tell how to remove the master switch from my dresser 125e ? It has 2 bolts that unbolt it from sheet metal but the hole it goes through is to small for the switch to come out. Is there a way to disassemble the switch so it can come out in 2 pieces.

Joe it goes in, you remove the wires and then it will push in and remove from the back side

I tried to push it in but the handle is a T handle and its to big to go through the hole. I tried to twist it around so maybe I could get one side of the handle in the hole but nothing worked.

Look hard should be a little bitty Philips screw in the center of that T, it can be removed then the handle comes off. Where in Tenn are you located?

I'm from Kingston, that's exit 352 off I40.

I thought the handle should come off, I looks at it and it looks like it is braded on. Its a strange switch, center position is on and about 45 degree off center either way is off and lockable. I will take a file and hit the end of the T and that should show me if its solid or not.

My e mail is open let me know what you find. That is how the switch works. Was wondering why you want to remove it. It should be set up to break the ground cable . I am about 45 minutes west of you. Years of ih experience

I took one of those off my TD15-C and put a keyed master switch on instead. I saved that old switch and just looked at it and there is two small bolts (probably 1'4") that hold that switch on. There is a small screw that needs an allen wrench that holds that T on, but on mine all that needs done is the two bolts removed. I had a TD8-E that had that type of switch, but I no longer have that to look at.

Jim, I cant get the switch to make contact, I can short across the posts on the back and it starts fine just wont charge the battery.

Where is the screw located, in the barrel or the T handle. I removed the two bolts and the wires on the back, turned it every way I could looking for other bolts or set screws. The weather here has been bad for the last few days (raining) when clears up I will look at it again, maybe take some photos of it.

I sure want to thank you all for responding to my post. I wont give up. If I have to I will cut a slot in the sheet metal so the T handle will go through the back
