Did you end up getting it rebuilt or buying one? What did it cost and from where? I need to do mine. Thanks

Looking up the old post I think he intended to replace it, curiosity had me look at the availability and price of a recon unit, they are averaging about 2.5K which is an awful ball of money to put into a machine of that age, what is the reason that you think you need to replace yours?.

Hi, yes I did get my torque conv. rebuilt. I had Hagan Tractor do the work. They also rebuilt the engine. They were very good people to work with and would answer any questions at any time. I needed the torque conv. rebuilt because after I put the new rebuilt engine in, and started it up I noticed oil coming out of the torque conv. I called Hagan and they said the seals were bad. Maybe after disturbing things when I pulled the engine caused the seals to leak, who knows? I had Hagan do the work because they do it all the time, and the engine work was all first class. I replaced everything, water pump, hyd. pump, charge pump, engine mounts, hyd. lines, rodded out the radiator cleaned out the fuel tank, you name it I did it. The only part I didn't go through was the trans. and final drives. I use this machine ALL THE TIME. I could have bought a bigger machine than this one for the money I put in my 450, but I know what is in this one and I don't need someone else's problems. I have a good machine that I know is good. It is a pleasure to start this 450 no matter what the weather and get the job done. Hope this helps with your decision. Phil
