Any help identifying???

Found this sitting on a farm in Cuba. Supposed to be 1964 Soviet manufacture. Couldn't find any clue to make.

I don't think it's backwards, my reasoning is that if it digs in the dirt is against the plate. If it were turned around the loosened dirt would be pushed into the joint between the grouser and next plate.
 
never really understood why but all the guys on the Caterpillar forums say the grousers should be in the front of the pads

Because that how they came from the factory on every crawler of every make I've ever seen.
 
over the years,[there has been plenty]have been told two reasons why pads should be run as had been
stated-one as previous stated,to keep dirt from forcing its way into the links,secondly,when working
in clay,sod and sticky materials,the action of the links tends to unhinge material from the pad,and
of course,reducing slippage.
