put the engine back in,, filled with oil,, started it, guess it all came out an 1/8 inch hole right behind the timing cover on the rh side,,, looked it over with a mirror,, the hole is nearly 3/8, but seems to have a piece of rubber in it with an 1/8'' hole in the middle of it,, started on it with an easy out,, then decided to put a barn screw in with a rubber washer,, anyone know what this is for ? its built in the casting,, comes out on an angle toward the ground,, pretty dangerous running it like this,, gonna have to figure something better , or get a low oil pressure alarm,,, screw did fit really really good though,, thanx. had about 48lbs pressure ,, second run...

wonder if its where the tach was? no outside places to thread a bolt, (i'll look again) I changed this engine from a balancer pump to front mount,, didn't really run it much before, but I think I would have known I had lost all the oil at once,, thanx,

book shows tack different location,, maybe should just be a freeze plug, doesn't seem right though

its a line going to the center of the compressor I do believe,, I looked at the old elbow,, which is broke, have to look again, funky looking 1/8'' pipe elbow,, looks normal on the outside of the engine, but thread side , can't tell much, try again tommorrow

That's the return line from the compressor, the thread is 1/8 NPT,should be a 90°,the supply line comes from beside the dip stick on the block, same thread.

You must have the compressor oil lines connected, you cannot block them off otherwise the compressor will seize up,that fitting you need is an 90° elbow, one end threaded 1/8npt,the other end tail,it's low pressure with a clip, the Case part #A27489,you might get a fitting at a plumbers shop.you are nearly there keep at it.
