Nikolaidis Tractors - Ever Done Business With them?

Appears to be in a Russian language country. According to their online catalog they just may have the trunnion pin I need.

If they do have the pin and I decide to do business with them I am open to advice on how to do the $$ part. Handing out a CC number makes me nervous.
 
I have had very good results with a PayPal account. They intercede for you if things don't turn out well.

Or perhaps you can contact your credit card company and see what reassurance/advice they could give you.

You are wise to be sceptical.
 
How about a prepaid visa card for just say
$50 over the amount. Give them that number
and worse thing is you are out the amount
of the card should they clean it.
 
That trunnion pin is a piece of common size shafting with a couple holes in it. A first year high school shop student could make it in a couple hours with a worn out lathe and drill press. Not worth the risk of dealing with an unknown overseas entity.
 
I contacted a fellow in Finland who has experience with David Browns and has helped me a couple times, he recognized the script as Greek. He is fluent in at least Finnish, English and Russian. He has not done business with Nikolaidis.

The Nikolaidis English online catalog shows the front axle trunnion pin I need for my 885. Emailed them yesterday but haven't heard back.

Had a rocky experience with a recent eBay purchase using PayPal. Ordered two Craftsman ratchet repair kits, received one. Seller maintains he sent two. He said, she said. Still waiting.

Guess before I get too revved up about dealing with them I'll wait to see if they really do have my part.

eBay has stepped in for me on several occasions, and made things right. Paypal has never had to, but I know they are proud of their reputation. File a claim with eBay. Easy peasey. I like the idea of a prepaid card with a minimum to lose, should things go south. steve
