Upside down Coil -- is that OK?

Hello,

As I continue to learn about my Case 411.

I could not get it started after I took it off the trailer (It started so I could drive it off the trailer but not again).

Last night I put a new coil on it and the jumped to life, like a scared rabbit, on the first push of the button.

Here is my question, the coil that was on the tractor when I purchased it was upside down, (see picture) is that OK or is the
preferred way of installing it with the connections up?

I can see how installing it upside down helps it shed water, etc.

Please tell me how I should install the new one.

Pressure washing is next.

A coil doesn't care if it is up down or side ways they work no matter how there mounbted

Joey, if this tractor is out in the weather, think about where the water goes when it sheds off the coil - inside the wire boot that is facing up. Most boots are plenty tight, so it may not matter.
