1030 Case PTO

I posted a few weeks about the PTO on my 1030. It would run implements even though it was disengaged and you could not pull the clutch lever up and engage it. W

I'm not doing the work on the tractor. The PTO linkage was ok. A clutch disc had not broken and doubled up either. Rather the nut holding the clutch pack together let everything slip on the shaft and basically parts became welded to the shaft. I realize I'm not explaining it well.

I'm looking at this point for the parts to switch it over to a 540 rpm out of a 930. Does anyone know where these might be available?

The easiest way to do that is to get an entire rear housing. It's a lot more work to change out the gears. Where do you live? That will help.

Some on here have changed the rear housing to a 70 series with the two speed pto but I do not know the details of that.

I bought a entire rear assembly from a 930, and converted our 1030 to 540 pto. It was several years ago now, but I think it all came from Worthingtons if I remember correctly. Parts man at local dealership located it for me, and arrange to get it shipped. While it did cost a few bucks for shipping due to the weight, it was complete and still works perfectly, over 10 years later.
