A relative gave us a woods RM500-2 finishing mower a while back and am trying to get it fit up to the case 311 I think it is(unsure), the problem is the woods has 2 wheels in the front and it hits the back tires of the tractor, and or the eagle lift arms don't reach back far enough so it will clear.
He asked me to make the little arms on the mower longer, they are about 6" and from what it looks like they will need to be almost another 10" longer to clear the front wheels when they are flipped around, I'd like to make sure they clear completely even when rotated around.
My thought was to just remove the front 2 wheels but my dad seems to want to keep them on there so it hugs the ground better and I'd like to get this working because the thing has just been siting there for years now. Are there any simple solutions here? I was going to extend the arms but adding another 10" or so will put the upper link about as far out as it can go and the driveshaft might also be at its limits.
I'll post up some pics later but if you're familiar with the eagle hitch and look at the woods RM500-2 with with the 2 front wheels it's kind of obvious. Any suggestions appreciated. I'll also post up some other ideas I've had later as well. Thanks
