730 needs more adjustments

I need help if anyone can talk me thru this. I Tried round baling with 525 otawaa baler today, Could not complete one bale.. The Engine probably needs to ramp up 200 rpm. but I think the governor has been napping too. This 730 is acting like a SC when it comes to leaning into the work. i have studied the book and will try adjusting by it ,.. But I think there Is more I can do. I dont want this 730 to be a Stomper at the local tractor pulls, I just want it to engage the pull and satisfactorly get the job done.We did something to a 800 40 Yrs ago that really rattle the windows when It got angry on the chisel plow.i just want a fourth of that energy. right now this 730 dont deserve the eagle that is proudly between its headlites. let alone the CASE name. . The PTO clutch debacle is really pizin Me off. i just cant see what i know should be in there.i have adjusted Dads 800 40 yrs ago and My 800 thru the miserable plug pipe hole successfully. and countless 300 , 500 , 430 ,530 triple ranges and DC and SC PTO clutches. Why cant i do the 730 comfort King ? I doutbt if something Is broken Or missing in there ,,. But I have come to that conclusion on My 530 dual range with ID-PTO.IK am going To take that little gals but apart soon. i have to gave a PTO tractor Guys .

Take a deep breath and reason with me. Your singing to the choir, we're just not singing as loud as you. The worse it gets, the more people it will motivate for change. We have to look forward to a chance this November to make changes. Yes they have done a pretty good job of stacking the cards but we can overcome that. Your rough talk doesn't help the cause. I have to calm my wife also, she's a fighter too.
I wish I could help you with your 730, but I'm still going to school on that motor. I've posted things on this forum and never received any replies. Sometimes it happens. The experts don't always know. What scares me is there is getting fewer of them. ACG helped me a few times, Casenutty became tired of the hassle, etc. If it wasn't for me having the Case mental illness, I'd go back to wood working and making jewelry boxes, it was much easier.

I'm going to post the same thing I did on FB - just in case you look here first. From your message above, I'm going to *try* and address your PTO slippage/adjustment.

There really is no easy way to adjust the PTO clutches on the comfort kings. There is little to no room and you need to be an acrobat to fit your head between the fender and rear end housing. My first post on FB was trying to make light of the situation by a solution my dad did on his 930. He cut a hole in the fender to give himself more room to work. I thought it was funny, something I wouldn't do - but it did work, and continues to work after all these years - just doesn't look pretty. I guess the 'correct' way to give yourself more room would be to remove the bolts from the floor and then either remove or move the fender.

The clutch on your 730 will adjust the same as on other 30 series and letter series Case's. Take the inspection cover off, find the spring loaded pin - pull out - and rotate. I wish I could tell you clockwise or counter clockwise - but it could be either direction on your 730 CK. I hate to say this - cause it's what consists of a lot of advice on these forums - but truly, check the owners/service manuals. They are always worth their weight.

Seriously though - no need for name calling and degrading of people; there is enough of that everywhere else. We are all trying to enjoy this old iron. I work on these tractors as an escape from all of the nonsense going on in the world. The advice on these forums is free. So it's worth what it's worth. Relax.
