Just picked up this K-160 row unit. Can anyone tell me any
information about it? Anyone have any manuals or extra parts
laying around theyd like to get rid of? Going to try and rig it up
to plant pumpkins. Thanks!

I have everything in the bottom pic if you need spares. You can use IH plates if you have or make an adapter.

There isn't a planter built today that has any better moist soil to seed contact, or get the seed sprouted up any faster than the K160. On the bottom - front leading edge of the shoe, just behind the disc is supposed to be a T34872 Wear Tip held in place w/ 2 bolts. It appears to be missing on yours. You probably will have to make 1, but it is a very important piece.

I don't know about the k160 units, but my planter has the capability to do hill drop. I can never remember if that makes it the 444 or 454.

The hill drop parts for the K-160 are not very common. 434 uses a simpler set-up for hill drop and are easier to find. The 2 434 planters here have hill drop parts...have never seen them for a K-160.
