Finally got done planting. Looked like an early year, then it started raining. Got some planted a couple weeks ago and that is up nicely. Got the rest finished Tuesday. Did some chisel plowing with the 1030.
And some discing.
Planted corn with the 400 and 454 planter.
This year I decided to try some barley and also little oats for feed and used the 400 and drill for that.
Had a little shower pass over and when I stopped to check seed level I saw this nice rainbow.
Even ran the harrow over some.
Got some rain, didn't have a great for the first rains, but got a total of over 5 in mid may which held off planting for a while
Had a flat on the 1030. An old vulcanized patch let loose and the tube was sticking out the side wall.
No new tires that size available, but I did find a used one that will get me by.
Found some mud too.
But, after all that, it's all done. Now n to spraying and haying. At the prices of fuel I'm not looking forward to that either. Maybe next year will be better.
