This was my dads tractor, but after he passed in 2005, it went to me, as no one else had any want for it.

We used it a fair bit when my boys were younger kids, but now days it doesnt get out much. Still handy for grading the lane. These tough little tractors were a mainstay on many farms throughout the 50s and 60s.

Bruce, Neat VAC. It's amazing how many vac cases were used daily on smaller farms.Hopefully one of your boys will want to have it when your done with it. I own a vac that my grandfather bought. Culivated alot of corn with it. And moved hay wagons.

In the fall of 1954 my dad needed a driver to take the VAC and steel wheeled wheat drill to a field up the road a half mile. He followed in a 1953 Dodge pickup loaded with wheat. At age 6, I was terrified, which is probably why I still remember this. All went well until I turned into the field which required crossing a culvert and going between two hedge gate posts. As I turned a little too short, I clipped the inside post with the drill's wheel. The post just vibrated off the wheel, no damage done. In panic, I looked back at my dad who was laughing his socks off.
