1270 Planting

At my age I find myself unwilling to change my ways of doing things. I have planted with this tractor for 15 years and took pride in my straight even rows. The ez steer monitor I purchased years ago for spraying guidance using its light bar. I had discontinued using it for a number of years now since we changed to 30 in rows which I could follow properly. This year it was suggested to me to purchase the auto steering attachment for the ez steer monitor. After doing so and installing it I still found myself planting all my fields manually except the last one because I didnt trust it. After taking the time to adjust it and understand its operation I found myself using it and wondering why I waited so long to do so. Old habits are hard to break and I have to admit the tractor with this in operation can drive its self better than I can. Rod.

Hi Rod

Had the monitor then added the bottle to steer my old tractor for spraying. Now would not be with out it, use less chemical get the job done quicker and drive straighter lines than I can with less fatigue. So far in front of the old foam marker. You can really keep an eye on what is going on with the machine.

We get that way Rod. Your old ways are hard to break. As they still work. Like the hood shot on the 1270

Looks good Rod, conditions look pretty good too. We were cold and dry in April and then May came and it's been raining some just about every other day. Not a lot but just enough to keep us out of the fields. Sure glad it started raining tho. Looks like a good working set up you have. Darrell
