I ran across this ad on facebook. I have no connection with it. I post because there is some rough Case tractors including a DC with side curtains. I have never seen
one with side curtains. Were they pretty rare?

thankyou for posting. Wow talk about the eye candy, every photo is great because in the back ground is different angles and views of the items in other photos. If you are referring to sheet metal side panels on Case DC in photos 28 and 29, those are definitely just scraps of tin roofing that were re purposed as side panels. While side panels were an option for Case D series, those side panels are home made. sorry

Side panels came with the first Case mounted picker, model IM. Mine has only one panel...the exhaust side is missing.

Thanks, if anybody has a picture of a DC with the factory panels (not obscured by a picker) it would be neat to see.

I had a Studebaker lark like the one pictured only in red. Also some other Studies. The guy has lots of interesting stuff. Those Willys cars are supposed to be way under appreciated. But both tailights are out and that might be only the start of the parts it needs, unless you have connections in Brazil where they built those with ford motors into the 60's

think I saw one like that in a small town in eastern sd. Near Bryant sd. That's probably near you isn't it.

Most of that stuff junk treasures will still be there when the owner dies would be my guess. Because it is very valuable to him, and no one offers quite enough money to get it bought. The heirs will have a quick auction, sell whats left to the scrapper and be done with it. Maybe, maybe not. Seriously considering down sizing so no one has to deal with my junk, treasures, stuff. lol gobble

The same thoughts. Went to an auction lately. The guy was a hoarder of sorts. He collected so much stuff he didn't have time to take care of most of it. Then he had to sell and downsize. When the auctioneer wanted some guidance on certain tractors and motorized stuff, the owner was not around. I don't think he could stand to watch. I don't think I want to go that way.

Saw one of those Case mounted pickers on a DC @ Prairie Village a couple of years ago. How the operator survived a season of operating it without losing a vital part of his anatomy would have been a miracle, or at least a testimonial to his skills of survival. Definitely not OSHA approved. Open chains and sprockets all over the place, many in close proximity to the operator.
