What do you mean he cannot find a oil pump for your tractor 210 case still sells that pump and i have a good used one for sale. jc

With the serial number starting with 612 the tractor would be a 1959 model like mine. There were minor differences in the 1958 model which 178 were made. In 1959 there were 203 made. I know of about 35 of the model which are still running so there are probably quite a few more which are not talked about online.

About the 6v system, you are correct the tractor was born with a 6v system. Mine had been converted to 12v before I bought it. I think if you had a 6v system with a 12v battery the generator wouldn't generate enough power to keep up the battery. Anyway with a volt meter you could check the output of the generator or altenator. The starter solenoid is easy to get. A lot of old pickup trucks and jeeps use the same solenoid. They should stock them at Napa or most any auto parts store.

It just rubs me the wrong way though when someone in parts asks me if my farm tractor is a lawn mower. It's almost like asking someone with a 10 ton dump truck if their truck is a 1/4 ton PU.

Oh no! Tell me it ain't so! Next they will be telling me that the front end loader on the 210B will fit on the lawn mower.

Thanks for your advice Stephen. If I had the $ to restore this tractor, it probably would be worth some $.
I'm 76 YO so my mind is not what it used to be and on top of that I tune this tractor up so seldom that I forget this, but I remembered the other day that the tractor has a positive ground. The other day the mechanic who is helping me told me that he was not getting any voltage out of the solenoid (with a negative ground). Now I know why. Does anyone out there know how an electrical system with a positive ground works? Some people blame this on the British, but I don't know.

You do know you will have to remove the front loader and literally have to split the tractor in two halves to put a new clutch on it. There are a number of different places you can get the parts. A member here, John Saeli, [email protected] will have the parts.

I have a 210B with a front loader and replaced the clutch on mine as well. I think I remember the hardest part to find on the project was the throwout bearing. I will see if I can find where I got one just in case.

Forgot to add...didn't remove the loader when I split mine.
Remove rear bolts holding the loader to the rear axle.
Take bolts out of bell housing and all lines loose.
Roll rear axle backward to remove clutch pressure plate and clutch disc.

An early 148 engine kit, such as for a 300, will work in the 200B by only opening up the lower counterbores. You can take the block to a
machine shop, or we've had customers simply hone them because they don't have to be opened much.
