Case VAC Belt Pulley Hydraulic Pump

Is it possible to rebuild, or is there somebody who rebuilds the belt pulley high pressure/2 piston hydraulic pumps used on the VAC? I have a restored VAH and a VAC, not "restored" but really nicely maintained, in the family since new. The pump on the VAC works OK, but can be hard a little to "activate" if tractor has been sitting awhile, seems to get an airlock of some kind. I have 2 extra pumps, neither seems to work, even though its hard to see that anything is wrong with them, but I would like to get that one last thing working right. As an aside, the VAH single front wheel was apparently a common modification, presumably done by the dealer in the Pajaro Valley of California. I only know of one other one left, which is still used in active farming for towing irrigation pipe trailers.

On at least some of the older VA's with the high pressure belt pulley pump there is an edge wound filter that can deteriorate and cause issues. It's a place to start looking for the cause of your problem.
