Case 530CK gas throttle / governor linkage

I think I made the mistake of servicing this old girl. The tractor ran and operated fine, but after servicing I cannot get the throttle or governor to work using the hand throttle or foot throttle. I did not touch either of these with the exception of replacing the carb. I have adjusted the timing and is runs much better with the new carb. I can work the governor on the carb side and it functions, however it wants to run wide open when I let go of the rod attached to the carb, meaning I have to manually return it to idle. Any help out there?

Can you send pictures of the governor hookup, Is this a universal carb with adjustable throttle shaft.
