Draining the 600B.

This is the second time I changed the hydraulic oil in my 600B. This time I made an effort to remove the plug in the torque converter and the range gear box. I couldn't get either plug removed. The plug for the torque converter was buggered up, and I didn't have the right size allen bit to remove either of them. I tried every bit I have here and none of them fit. What size bit does it take to remove these plugs? I guess it won't matter now since I got tired of messing with it and filled it back up with fresh oil. But I would like to know what size bit it takes, just to satisfy my curiosity.

There are no specifics in the parts manual. If you feel so compelled to remove it , I would drill a hole in the center of the plug
,and easy out the plug. Personally , I would not bother draining the torque converter. For the amount that is in there , I would
not consider it an issue. CM Send us a pic of the old girl!

(quoted from post at 23:38:39 10/09/21) she will make a great tractor for a collector. I do not see many at the shows that I have been to.CM

I don't think the case-o-matic really caught on for most farmers. They would rather have a 500B than the slipping case-o-matic. At least that's what I hear from the older farmers when the subject comes up.
