Dc carb question

Working on a dc. It has to have full choke to start and half choke to run. It will rev up and idle mostly ok with half choke. If I open the bowl drain while running it will run with no choke, also no fuel will come out till it is
shut off. Got fuel flowing well carb has been cleaned multiple times. All ports and jets seem to be open and flowing. There dosnt seem to be any vacuum leaks. Seems to me the float bowl isnt venting properly but I
cant seem to put my finger on the issue. All gaskets and ports look to be correct. Anyone have thoughts? Thanks.

Do not hesitate to check for fractures in the top and the bottom half of the carb flanges, as this will allow ambient air to be sucked into the carb body. I ended up throwing the bottom half into the trash, and replacing it with another. Floats will stick when not properly aligned. DO not be afraid to pull a carb down to parade rest. John Saeli can provide you with appropriate parts to get you on the right path. I am not an expert, but I have learned a few things about Carbs. Saeli 315-585-9826. you need to make sure your gas cap is vented. and that is what it sounds like also. gas wont run down a line without a vent. close your jerry can vent and try to pour the gas out.

I know all ports and jets appear to be open BUT. The passage that is under the right side of the choke plate looking in the bore is a pain to clean and 99 times out of a 100 is plugged. That is the port that puts pressure on the fuel bowl when choking, and vents the bowl when the choke is off. HTH
