Case 530 3pt. Piston Seal Install

I know there are people on here who have already dealt with this difficult seal installation. I need to install the lip seal onto the large piston in the 3pt. lift. The seal really needs to stretch to get onto the piston and into the groove. I did one years ago, but don't remember what I did (old age is hell). Any ideas ??

Warm the piston & seal in warm water, as warm as you can handle, 140 degrees?? Oil both pieces and work the seal ring over & into the ring groove. May take 4 hands. When installed, use a piston ring compressor to force the seal back in shape & place.

John......thanks for the reply and advice. I was able to heat the last seal before installing and I think the four hands idea is what it is going to take. I may as well ask my wife to help with two of the hands, since I think last time I also borrowed some wide kitchen spoons that had the same radius as the piston diameter. They made nice gentle pry bars.

I did have good luck last time with a normal ring compressor to get the seal shrunk and the ring compressor worked for the piston installation into the housing.

As always......thanks for all you do.
