DO/DC hydraulic coupling issue

I'm experiencing some trouble trying to get a remote cylinder to work on my DO. The pump is able to build pressure, but the fluid does not seem to be getting past the quick connectors.

The female connectors on the tractor are original and the check valves inside them work. The male connectors on the cylinder are new and also appear to be functional.

Were there multiple versions of the old style Case fittings? All of my male fittings have a modern ISO style ball end on them. Maybe this is the problem?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mathias: All CASE Couplers pre 1973 or so are the same, all the way back to 1946. If the male plugs in and stays, there should be no problem. Unthread the hose from the cylinder & stick the hose in a pail and try it. If you have flow, the cylinder is bad. If no flow, switch outlets and try.

John I disagree, I remember the fittings on Dad's SC were flat on the female part and the male end had a long tip that met the flat and overcome the pressure of the spring checks. I also remember that we had to change the internal checks to the later style.

Yes, the OEM tips were not a ball type, but some aftermarket CASE Male Tips are of the ball type, and have never posed a problem that I am
aware of. Doesn't make sense they would still sell them if they had posed a problem. I hope Mathias chimes back.

Thanks for the replies. Below are pictures of my outlets and tips. The cylinder is currently dry and moves freely by hand. I'm not getting oil into the cylinder side of the male tip.

Barry - you might be on to something here.

John - By any chance would you have the conversion parts?

I can't really see, but the female coupler doesn't look right to me. Maybe it's because I'm looking on my phone, but the check valve should have a fairly lengthy point on it and I don't see it. I would guess the point is 1/4 long.

There is an owners manual for the hydraulic pump control assembly for SC DC and LA tractors that shows the early style fitting on page 16 first edition.

Thanks! That makes a lot more sense now. I remembered that I had another set of outlets in my parts bucket. Sure enough, they have a pin in the center. I should be able to clean these up and swap them out.

I definitely appreciate the help, I was scratching my head over this thing. I makes me wonder what style of coupler these were for.

Just guessing here but it looks like they went from two different parts to one part number that works in both fittings.
