I bought a Case 4894 recently , has a side console power shift showing 6 ranges, but is a 3 speed . Has a Cummins L10 . No serial ID tag. I believe this to be a prototype.

Judging by how "factory" it looks I would have to agree, either that or someone went to painstaking lengths to make a modified side console look factory. Either way its pretty cool, is it useable?

you sure its not just not shifting to all or possibly has been apart and the other gears removed? check the build card Don, that will tell you,, i would put money on it left with a 6 speed PS

Does it have electric solenoids on the shift cover like the later 94 series. If so it probably has a hi/low planetary setup like the 3594s. Just my guess

I looked at that tractor, and thought it looked to good to not be some sort of prototype , it wasn't running when I looked at it I really didn't need another one either but was interesting with the Cummins ,

Where are you from ? They got it running b4 the sale ended. Just hit the key, and was running.

I Live nw of Rochester and thought about it since I just finished going through the powershift and tranny on my 4894 this last fall , when I looked at that one it wasn't running yet
