Case DC update

I know it has been several months since I last posted about my DC, today I got it running and was finally able to drive it around. The last time I had it running was about 8 months ago and I was unable to drive it do to transmission problems, since fixing those, I have not been able to get it running. I believe that my problem was too much air, the shaft that the choke plate goes on was broken so I could not use the choke. I was able to get it running by shoving a blue paper towel into the carb to restrict the amount of air that can pass through the carb. The tractor sounded good, the hydraulics work, and the tractor drove in all gears. I still need to adjust the brakes, steering linkage, and hydraulic levers. Does anyone have a good throttle shaft and plate they would sell me or know of somewhere I could buy one? I have not been able to locate a new one for sale.

A&I sells the best kit for the S and D series tractors. Those kits are getting hard to find. I have an account with A&I and they have not had any kits in my warehouse for months.

Back in the old days when I needed a choke or throttle shaft. I would go to my mom and pop hardware store and buy a 1/4 brass rod and make one. I have made several shafts for old carbs out of brass rod and a double cut file. They are not difficult to make.
