Case 770 v newer implements

I've got a question for you guys. I have a case 770 that is having issues with trying to lift up a newer disc mower. I ran for four years A New Holland 452 disc Mower and the lift cylinder operates without any issues. I recently picked up a Vicon cm2400 and I have had issues with the lift cylinder picking up the actual mower into transport position. I've already checked to make sure that the pressure relief valve is working properly, and the gauge has been reading 1400 to 1500 PSI (which is what the tractor is rated at).Does anybody have any thoughts on how to alleviate this problem or any tips that I am currently overlooking? I've called the local case dealer and they do not offer a higher PSI rated pressure relief valve. Any help would be great thanks.

The relief valve spring can be shimmed to achieve more pressure, or simply replacing the cylinder with a larger diameter cyl. will solve the
problem. For years CASE used a "High Volume, Low Pressure Hyd. System". Todays implements are designed for high pressure.

Thanks for tip. I think I'll try the shim 1st before dropping some money on a different cylinder...which i have considered.

The Case service manual should show what shim pack thickness to use to achieve a certain pressure, The pumps and valves are the same except the shimming is different and I would not have any problem shimming it up to 9-1070 specs, in fact I have done a couple. If you disassemble the valve to shim the relief, replace the orings in the relief valve, there are two, a backup ring and oring down in the inner sleeve an identical one that sits at the top of the sleeve plus the cap oring. Use only Case OEM rings and backup ring. If those orings fail you will have very weak hydraulics and you are not gonna get any closer to them.
