CASE 2470 2670 Flywheel Installation

CASE 2470 & 2670 Flywheel Installation:

I was asked to take the lead with the ENGINE removal, of my Neighbors Case 2670. The owner was ploughing last Autumn when a PISTON appeared out the side of the Engine block!

I recently purchased an Original Case Service Manual, and have made arrangements for the local Machine Shop to turn out a Mandrel so as the components that attach to the Flywheel shall be aligned.

I have several grade 8 alignment pins so as to aid in the installation of the Flywheel.
My concerns are:

(1) The Failed Engine did not have any LOCKING devices on the Cap Screws that attach the Flywheel to the Crankshaft???
"WAS THIS A CORRECT INSTALLATION" ??
(2) Was there??? should there?? have been any liquid such as a "Loctite product" applied to the threads of the Cap screws that attach the Flywheel to the Crankshaft??
(3) The Engine that arrived that I shall be assisting in the installation of, arrived with the Flywheel Cap Screws installed in the Crankshaft / Flywheel mounting Boss....with NO locking devices.????

(4) The Flywheel has been removed.... I was not part of the removal. I can not locate any information in the SERVICE MANUAL that indicates the FLYWHEEL MUST be attached in a SPECIFIC orientation.
(5) There was NO locking devices on the CAP SCREWS that hold all CLUTCH / pressure plate components to the flywheel.??????? Item # 1 of clutch assembly...

Any owners with the above hands on...

Bob...Owner Case 830 Diesel 8 speed Comfort King...Case 610....and recently a Case 930 Gasoline Engine...

The flywheel will only fit on one way,use green loctite on the bolts and torque to 210 ft lbs.

Goes without saying surfaces treated with Loctite should be perfectly clean and dry. I personally use the Red high strength Loctite anywhere Loctite is needed.
