VAC Oil in disc brakes

Hi,
I have an oil leak in my disc brakes. I found tons of info on cleaning the discs. It looks like the oil is coming from the cap in the shaft more than the carrier seal. I plan on replacing the seals but can't find a replacement cap. It looks like part v22150(2) on the parts old parts list but I could be wrong.

Anyone know where/if I can find those?

Thanks in advance!!

Expansion plug V22150 was used on many tractor models VA up to early 630. My 1989 Case parts substitution manual subs V22150 to A29902 although I have not been able to independently confirmed that part nr change.

The unconfirmed p/n A29902 is listed on several sites, including Amazon by CIH. One site has this pic showing measurement, that appears to be ~1-5/8" O.D..

In any event you would be wise to call John Saeli for his considerable expertise and you can be assured he will not rip you off on price.

Do Not waste time trying to get the oil soaked linings clean order the rivets and new linings form Saeli Imp,, I did buy have rivet tool already to do this right but have used it for a number of brake jobs they are not all that much to buy and well worth it,, you will never get all the oil out,, I tried,, when you have the covers off take the internals apart and at the very least repolish the balls in there, replacing is best, clean and polish all parts,, replace any broken or stretched springs, make Sure you have the correct carrier cover plate, as on these there is a bearing cone/race for each side, they are not the same,, also make sure you keep the right number of shims in place and for each side,, also when replacing the differential seals they need to be located in the correct spot to function as they should, a Case VA Seris Service manual has all this information, when you have these all correct you will have great brakes with almost zero pedal pressure,,

The VAC Parts Book does show the VT3479 Plug in the shaft for the tractors with disc brakes. We do stock the plugs, lining kits, seals, ect.

Might want to check your part # for that plug. V 22150 is for models with band brakes. VT 3479 is for the models with disc brakes.

My VAC has band brakes and when they became oil soaked, I soaked them in gasoline and then in purple power.
Then I let them dry in the sun and put them in the oven in my shop stove at about 200 degrees till they quit smoking.
They work great now.

Since this tractor will be sold soon, I'm going to try something similar to get rid of the oil on the discs. If it'll stop, I'm happy. Will it be as perfect as my other VAC no, but neither is the rest of the tractor.

I did find that there's a little water in the diff so it'll be good to change the oil.

Thanks everyone!!
