I received my distributor camshaft with one minor change it was missing one base plate, so I shimmed it with a .050 washer, So that the base plate will move both weights. Hopefully I have displayed these pictures in proper order on assembly.CM

i see wht u have done with the washer, but i would get one with a smaller hole, that might throw it out of balance. make sure the contact surfaces and the spring pins have little dap of light grease like the white lubriplate grease, with a tooth pick you dont want any sticking and they are famous for rusting up.

I'm not the world's biggest Pertronix fan, but if I could not find the correct cam that will fully engage with both weights I would have made new pins for the old cam and installed a Pertronix as a workaround to the worn cam lobes.

I don't know how much you intend to use this tractor, I would expect the weights and cam will wear rather quickly with only half of the tab on each weight contacting the arms on the cam.

Things rattle around a lot on a 4-cylinder engine.

All very good comments, thanks for all your insight. It won' take that much to make an appropriate washer to accommodate! Spot on with the lubriplate.CM
