Couple 1175 questions.

Recently I purchased a new feeder wagon with a Thousand RPMPTO. My current feeder wagon tractor is a 970 with powershift. when I push in the clutch I can hear the surge in the chain drive system on this new wagon. I dont like that. I am assuming an 1175 with the eight speed does not have that hydraulic/pto jump/surge. Is that correct? Also is the pto heavier duty than the one on my 970? There is an 1175 local to me for sale that I might go look at this week. Thanks

The 1175 will not have the PS surge,, it also has the very same pto unit as the 970 but with more disc's in it for the extra hp,, pull the snap ring on the pto shaft drive collar and you can swap it from 540 to 1000 or vice versa , if your retard screws are set to tight on the 970 it will make the surge worse than it needs to be
