Got to Vent!! Long Week!!

A guy calls here this afternoon and asks about upper spindle seals for his 400. I tell him, in stock, ready to ship, $4.85 each. He says his dealer did not stock them, and they were $127.00 each. After he hymned & hawwed I asked if I should pull them or put them back. He said "better put them back". WTF???!! Why should we bother??!! Unbelievable!! The actual CASE list is $76.62, and his dealer is boning 65% over list!! After this week, I'm ready to throw in the towel.

Please don't throw in the towel! I have three tractors with 188 diesels, and each uses a different filter. The NAPA guy will never get it right, but you alway do!

Except for the one that got lost in the mail I've had all good experiences with you. Bought a lot of stuff from you too. If you quit who will I visit when I come to New York?

Those prices are so far out of whack that he must have figured something fishy was going on, and he wasn't sure where. Maybe if you offered to move your decimal point one place to the right, $48.50, he would have bit.

Don't quit! Where would I go for all the answers to my questions? NEVER had a problem ordering anything from you!

Hang in there, I've still have a 500B and a 930 to restore, not o mention what might just find it's way on my trailer in the mean time. At the pace I'm going, Hailey's Comet should reappear just after I finish.

Hang in there John. As a newbee I went to Steiner's and YT a few times but now I don't even go anywhere else, unless you don't have it. And if you don't have it, nobody else does either.

Been a tough year for a lot of folks John. Hang in there. It will get better. Thanks for your service to US Case people. gobble

Jon, We need to vent somethings to clear our brain. You and Chris have a great source for Case parts. Stick around for a while, things will get better and we can all laugh again. Jerry from Ohio

Try not to dwell on the few knuckleheads and think about all of us that would be lost without you and Chris.

My parts guy sold a (former ) customer 6 wheel lug nuts he came back later to return them because a parts house across town had them 5 cents cheaper per nut. He gave him the lug nuts and asked if that was cheap enough and told the sob to never come back.

Go out and get sloppy drunk, then after Chis drives you home and you puke in the dog dish, crawl as close to the bedroom as you can. Someone will throw a few blankets on you during the rest of the night. By the time you heal up from that abuse all other problems will seem small compared to what you just went through.

John,

I share your frustration, I have been dealing for many years with an excellent supplier but I have been trying to get him to sell me some sleeves for kits that are no longer available and I cannot get him motivated to sell them. He has been excellent and I have referred many people to him and will continue to do so but I cannot understand his reluctance to see what he has for me. Havn't talked you all you guys so Happy Belated New Year.

John,

Many years ago I was chopping straw as a favor for an old neighboring farmer with the DC4 and ran out of gas. I asked him if I could buy 5 gallons of gas from him so I could finish up before milking. He brought the gas out for me and I handed him a Five dollar bill and he said, "Gas is a dollar five a gallon!" Lucky I had a quarter in my pocket. Billy had a reputation for being tight with his neighbors, but lost $20,000 in an investment scheme in the early 80's. Maybe there is karma. Don

Hello John,
You have been a great supplier of hard to find parts. The model S, king pin and bushings I just got from you are proof of that. Please don't let a few jerks make you give up, believe me they exist in all business.

Don't give up, I'm sure we still need more parts for my 830. It starts and runs great now just need all the little crap to quit dripping. Thanks for all your help. Jim

You can't please some people. You and Criss have always been helpful and fair. As far as parts I have been rebuilding the pickup on a Vermeer round baler I picked up. I needed some follower bearings and they quoted me $12 a piece said fine order them. Went to pick them up $23 a piece. What the heck "They didn't have that part these are replacement and they cost more" ok. I go home get on the computer find a number on the bearing, $9 a piece, special order they wont take them back Oh well.

Reminds me I am going to need 2 D series engine to transmission gaskets this spring. Might as well send them now. If you do not have my address from previous orders call 812 665 3419. Bill wilson
