Someday last week bandgoman09 had asked about how to connect a block heater to his Case 1030 tractor. Here is a picture for you of the heater on my 930 Case, I believe it is the same basic block. This circulating coolant heater works very well for me, and doesn’t go into the rad hoses.

Now my 930 has frame rails mounted to hang tanks on many years ago, and this made a convenient spot to mount the circulator heater, it could be mounted in other locations, because it just has heater hose running to pipe fittings in the block.

Mine goes up to the top of the water manifold where the temperature sensor is. The radiator hoses got warm when I plugged it in.

How long does it take for your block to get warm to the touch?

Can’t say, as it isn’t something I have ever paid mind to. If I wanted to start it during winter, I’d plug it in a hour before I wanted to run it. Never used either, and it has never failed to start
