Good afternoon...
I own and operate a CASE 830 Diesel 8 speed Transmission.

Picture, is of a spare power steering cylinder that I have...I was informed when I purchased the 830 the cylinder was off another case but required parts.

Could someone tell me if the CASE 830-930-1030 use the same power steering cylinder.

Cylinder Ident # VC28504A8 1200

Is this cylinder a CASE manufactured part....or from a hydraulics supplier ??

Winter is around the corner. I would like to have a spare functioning steering cylinder.
Thanks

I now have two spare Power steering assist cylinders for my Case 830...between the two I shall have one refurbished and placed on the shelf....:)

Received a call from a gentleman that has a Case 930?? ...(6 cylinder diesel)parting out...

I'm new to Case...his 930 has a gear shift on the floor, as well as what appears to be a RANGE lever directly in front of the main transmission gear shift.. "swings left to right" with an "N" in the middle.
Tractor seized engine 35+ years ago...

I shall dismantle and rebuild as per required...

Thanks to everyone who replied..
Bob..

Looks the same as the power steering cylinder on my 730 Case.

This cylinder weeps a bit, that’s why it is so dirty, and the tractor gets used in some dusty conditions, like planting grain. And because this is just another farm tractor and not some show pony, I don’t keep it washed down. So as I said it weeps some, but doesn’t bleed fluid. It did bleed, and we took it apart and replace the seals. And my 930 and 1030 have a completely different set up. The 730 and 830 share many common features, just as the 9 and 10 do.

1030 never used that cylinder nor did the 8 speed 930's

I received the below info from a Tractor parts/ salvage yard.

Hi, afraid we do not have anything left here and I checked our aftermarket suppliers and nothing there either. It also appears that this could either be a Ross or Monroe cylinder just so you know, not sure if they are interchangeable or not.

Is a ROSS or MONROE cylinder familiar ?
Thanks
Bob...Owner CASE 830

IIRC there is a shop in Kingsley Iowa that can fix or make just about any hydraulic cylinder.
