Attn John Saeli: Case 400 fuel filters

I'm working on a Case 400 diesel. The fuel system is pretty much full of tar from the tractor sitting so long without being run. I've drained most of fuel that I could and removed all 3 filters. I've got numbers for for 2 of them but I'm having difficulty finding a clear number for the third one. I've included pics of the filter and the number on the filter housing as it is difficult for me to make outthe first two digits of the number. I'm hoping you or anyone can help me with the number for this filter so I can get it running again.

There is no replacement to that Primary filter you have pictured. Yours looks fine, in that it only needs a good cleaning. We stock the 2nd & final filters. As J. Hamilton said, the pump should be removed and serviced by a professional because they have a tendency to shear the drive mechanism on the inside after sitting, for which there are no parts for. If you haven't turned the engine over yet, DON"T until you have the pump checked out.

Thanks John. I guess it's too late about turning the engine over as it did run decently up until a few weeks ago. I am cleaning the primary filter, I have it soaking in some cleaner now and should be able to get the other 2 filters from a local cih dealer. If that didn't help and the injectors are bad I might have to pay Don L a visit again and have the tractor taken to be serviced by a pro.

So you want john to bail you out but not going to buy your filters from him ???????? Why didnt you ask the folks you are going to get your filters from about the filter in question then?
