Was it worth the price

Today I got this Case plow. I got it from the same person who I got my DC from. I paid the same price for the plow that I paid for the DC. FREE! Was the plow worth the cost of the diesel to drive about 40 minutes away? Also, am I missing any parts for the plow? Or can I hook it up and give it a go as soon as I get my DC back together.
This is a BER model plow right? Are new moldboard, shares, coulters, etc available for it?
Yes, I know I didn't spend enough time tying it down, I was only there for a little bit so I couldn't spend 2 days tying it down and I called it good at one chain, not 18.

I would grease the wheel and coulters and go to work with it,, looks to be in Fine shape to me, if you have rocks i would remove the hitch assembly and make sure the release is free and working nice find a BER model yes,,

Even if a 2X18, your DC will just play with that plow in most types of soil plowing CT pliers deep as soon as you get those moldboards shined up. Start out with a lot of sandpaper to get them as smooth as possible. Then paint them with the most economical flat black paint you can find. After it drys for a couple of days, take the plow out to the sandiest ground that you know of & start plowing. When the paint comes off, you'll be surprised at how the lays & s will shine.

you have the wrong plow for a DC. it will drive you crazy going in circles with that thing. looks more like a plow for an SC.

I am green on Case plows. WOuld like to know what is meant by the driving in circles comment.

It has 16" bottoms the same one was sold with Lots of DC's in much of my ground a SC is loaded plenty with 2-14" I have the same plow that was sold new with a 52 DC I had I also have the 3-14 pull-type sold new with my DC with the Duncan loader,, it makes her work in my heavy ground I would guess you can plow almost the same with either I have due to a gear faster running with the 2 verses the three bottom

i said that because you are basically going around and around with a plow. headlands are done last. so ok going in a rectangle.

Just out of curiosity, what's the "HP" rating of a DC? A 2 bottom plow (16") was easily pulled with a 30 HP ALLIS WD on our farm :) .
