Pto quit in the 830 while baling this weekend. Pulled the housing and clutch and found this.

All the tabs that go in the cup part were worn off. The cup part shows some wear, but not bad.

I had another pto unit so I pulled the clutch pack out of that and put it in the 830. Haven't tried it yet because I need to get new oil because it was all milky, but it appears to be good. The other cup part was worn about the same. That happen much? What would cause that? Is that cup part worn enough to cause it? It does have enough ridges from the plates wearing that you can feel them.
 
I have had the adjustment pin come out of place and let the clutch pack loosen way up and come partially out of the drum. In other words the collar loosens up and lets the pack come loose.
