Tire/rim difference

If I put the same tire (size and brand) on
a 10" rim and 11" rim, then had them side
by side on a tractor (thinking dual wheels
on each side), how much difference would
there be? Could I slightly over inflate
one and slightly under inflate the other?
Is a 38" rim.

I found a second set of rims, but after
getting them I think they are slightly
wider. Didn't think about that when I
bought them. This the question.

Thanks.

I don't think you will notice much size difference on the tire. Outside duals run a lower pressure than inside tires. 18.4 x 34 tires need 18 psi and the outside dual would only be 10-12 psi. My opinion only.....

10 inch wide vs 11 inch wide. But the same size tire

You would never notice a difference. I shouldn't say never but after a couple thousand miles for a parade tractor the 10 inch tire might have a slight more wear in the middle than the 11 inch.

The rubber tires have threading inside that does not expand with different rim widths. So you just have a tire that has the sidewalls pinched in a little more than the other. This will cause the center to wear ever so slightly more.

I would run it until you find a matching rim in the future. My thoughts...

Like said no problem at all with what you are describing, I have ran 18.4 x 34's duals with 16.9 x 34 inside tires,, I run 20 psi on the inside and 10 psi on the outer duals,, same basic thing as Steve does, I used to run 18 psi but it seems tires last better with a couple more pounds where i use a lot of 3pt equipment so i just go with that now days
