Hello Dennis, try looking for 1 and 1/16 straight thread fitting, not tapered like pipe. Might be like British pipe thread?... guy that used to work for me identified those old case threads for ne and I thought I got adapters from that to pipe thread from house of hose. Been 4 or 5 years ago. If I can remember more I will let you know

Mike, is that you in Dusty? !! Thanks for the comments. In Spokane I went to Inland Pacific Hydraulic on Trent. Three of them looked for 15 minutes trying to identify the threads. No luck. So maybe I need to go to House of Hose next. Worth a try I guess but it"s a long run from here to Spokane so I don"t get there often. So from your remarks, older Case machines did use an odd thread? Somehow that surprises me.
Oh, I"m still not sure if I need to retain the spring and ball internals. I don"t see why as what was recently in there was essentially a, "plug," already....just a very leaky one. As long as there is not some kind of pressure return galley inside the pump housing that uses the ball checking system.
????
