'53 SC: what plug to get to plug off unused bottom hydraulic

Removed the old Wagner loader from my '53 SC. Now lower pair of hydraulic ports on the pump housing are not in use. Tried to adapt what was left after removing old hoses and make these 2 ports, "plugged off." Can't get old fittings to stop leaking. Threaded piece that screws into cast housing with it's copper washer is not a problem. It's the junk plumbed outside of that. What/where can I get a fitting that will screw into pump housing and just act like a plug? I tried taking it to hydraulic shop and they could not find anything to work. Tonight I went to neighbor's machine shop and he identified the threads as 1"x14thd. Old fitting contains spring and ball. Can't see why that's needed now, but......?
Thoughts would be appreciated. I can take photos tomorrow if needed.

I'll try again to get this posted with photo. Have been struggling with site for days. Here is a photo of the hydraulic fitting mess that resulted from removing the loader and the neighbor working on it did not have enough parts to seal off the bottom pair of ports. Note that the fitting adjacent to the copper gasket is the Case fitting that screws into the cast iron pump housing. All I want is to get rid of the misc. junk hanging outside of it and have just one nice plug of some kind that can screw back into housing. And....do I need to retain the spring and ball check system? Tips on how to find a proper, "plug," would really be appreciated. A large city hydraulic's shop in Spokane could identify the threads much less come up with a plug.
????? Thanks, Dennis

Should add that John Saeli kindly posted that my Case fitting was 1 1/16" dia. Did not know threads-per-inch.

Is the fitting leaking at the o ring where it swivels, those fittings are precision pipe fittings and the proper pipe plugs hydraulic grade will seal, you can take everything off of the fitting and put the proper plug in there. the proper plug is machined for a taper seal on the interior of the fitting and standard hardware store fittings are not. you will never seal it without the right plugs.

Thank you. That is helpful. Someone before me wound that wire tight to try to stop a leak at that point. Probably an attempt to crush the o-ring. Did little good! However, there is another leak at the next joint/elbow toward the tractor fitting.
It appears to me that part's outer swivel that is part of the tractor threaded piece is not meant to ever be serviced or taken apart. Does that sound right?
BTW, I have the same mess on the opposite side of the pump housing as well.
Lastly, I agree.....I would never bother to try hardware store fittings to fix this.
