990 Case diesel tank rusted out and was leaking until...

Well, after flushing the tank that had water obviously in the bottom that was never drained and it holed the tank so it leaked. I used a lot of epoxy sealant to externally seal it and it is holding for now, but I need to know if anybody has had eny experience with using the fuel tank sealing kits that consist of three parts. I have thought about the expense and how it might also plug the fuel intake lines that suck off the bottom of the tank and so here I am asking from experienced users of this tank sealing and improving kits what they have experienced? The corrosion has thinned the bottom near the drain plug enough that it is unusable, so keeping water and condensation out of the tank is most important along with using an additive to help keep any moisture dissolved in the diesel where it will pass harmlessly out of the tank and cause no harm or further corrosion in the future.

I've used redkote on a couple tanks and liked the results. I used sulfamic acid (clr bath cleaner) and then alcohol to clean. One coat of redkote and things are great. Can't use really heavy solvents in the tank, but if I need to I can always feed them in from a 1 gal gas can.

Since I'm inexperienced with what you are telling me, I need to know about the heavy solvent inability to add to the tank. Can you explain further? I'd appreciate it. I need more information to determine savings and Redcote must be the paint used inside the tank to ensure that it'll not corrode further even if water gets inside through some unfortunate accident. The spending the huge price for another tank that is also probably damaged through some mishap is not affordable to me. I think that I can keep the paint from clogging the lines by blowing them clear after the coating paint is used so it does not clog the lines.

I followed the directions listed on the website, I thought Io used alcohol but it lists acetone or MEK, I probably used acetone to clean. The directions say stay away from methanol and very high ethanol blends. The red dye has some out into my fuel initially, but doesn't seem to be a problem now.
