1170 trans pressure

I got my 1170 running yesterday after buying it from a guy who had parked it in the field behind his shed 10 years ago. I noticed the trans pressure gauge is showing up in the red like it has too much pressure. Is this something to be alarmed about? What would cause it to have too much pressure? Thanks in advance!!
BTW thanks Dwag for the suggestion of welding a 5/16 bolt in the injectors that were stuck. It worked!

If it has been sitting in a field for 10 years there is likely water in the hydraulic oil. Check it, may need an oil change. 1170 is an 8 speed clutch tractor. Hydraulics are for 3 pt, remotes, steering, and maybe brakes. Better on the high side than low. My 970 8 speed has run on the high side ever since I replaced the warn out pump 10 years ago.

The only thing that the gauge does on your tractor is that it shows PTO pressure,if it was a power shift model it would indicate power shift and PTO pressure. It should be 180 to 210 psi. Mite want to put a gauge in the flow divider and see what it really has.

That would be my suggestion also, years back we set the flow divider up on tractors that were turboed and pulling, also toughened up the torque limiters.
