Looking for rubber seat springs for a case 470.I was told they were the same as used on some john deere models thats all i know. They are not the same as whats used on the 430.Any help appreciated.

CaseIH parts lists the same seat spring part nrs for both the easy ride & deluxe seat on the 470.

Joe: Those springs are N/A from CASE or anyone else. BUT!! How did you get an online parts breakdown that shows obsolete numbers? I go to the CNH site, bring up the parts page I want, but it only shows current parts. The problem is, without the part numbers for parts CASE doesn't offer, we can't search any dealers who might have that part, or the obsolete houses.

The exact unit you need is not available anywhere. The closest spring to the CASE is used on the John Deere 520 530 620 630 720 730 820 830 and maybe other Deere models. I've used these, and some modification is required, but they will work.

When I went to the website on my laptop it showed part numbers for the obsolete parts and on the right it showed me what parts where still produced.

John I am aware seat springs are NLA via Case. I checked YT & your website and didn't find anything 470. I was just providing the 470 spring p/n's for the poster and anyone else that was interested including you. Given the 470 spring p/n A41097 & A41098 I don't doubt that I can find an aftermarket or suitable substitute on the web and many of you can do the same.

It is the same thing with the more common easy ride seat springs for 300/300B many other tractor models p/n G45002 & G45003 that are supposedly unavailable anywhere. There is a aftermarket substitute available for about $60 ea. The problem is posting the URL of that vendor and many other parts vendors' URL's, including yours John, are automatically deleted on either the Classic or Modern forums or sometimes both as happened when I posted that vendor's URL. I can probably get around that by posting a snapshot, maybe next time.

Oliver tractors used several models of the Bostrom seat and maybe something could fit from after market parts sites like Yesterdays Tractor and others.

You have a parts page displayed for an "S" series. In those days, the part numbers were displayed on the picture. Later parts books used reference numbers by the part display, with the reference number and part number on the opposite page . I cannot find the "view more" you reference.

I know this about Oliver seats: I called Tri County implement in Sheldon Ia and they still had some springs for 77 and 88 oliver. However, the spring that the 300 and
other Case uses was shared by Oliver but only on their SUper 44 and 99 models-the rarest tractors of that line. So good luck at finding them there. THe springs Oliver
uses look the same, but they are configured different. I am not sure if you took the whole Oliver seat and put it on a Case folks would notice the difference. We had
those springs on our 70 Oliver (must have been a retrofit) but I don't remember enough about it as to how similar in appearance they are. The bolting plate spacing to
the tranny might be unique to Case

Go to the link. Enter a part number in the box upper right corner. Down below will be a clickable link that will list the tractors that have that part number, under the model tractor you want will be a clickable link that will show the exploded view of the unit in which that part number is located along with the the associated parts list like I posted.

I didn't have a clue what the 470 seat spring part number was. To find a p/n that you can enter in the search box check the unit (in this case easy ride seat) in one of your parts books for a part that may be common to all easy ride seats. I picked the rubber bumper p/n VT5513 in a 300RN parts book. Entering that p/n brought up a bunch of older tractors Vac, 300, 300B etc, so I know I need to cross-ref VT5513 to get a p/n that will be listed for that bumper in later tractor parts books. VT5513 subs to A30644, enter that p/n and you get a list of later model tractors, one of which is the 470. All of those later tractors have that A30644 bumper but some have different p/n seat springs, the bumper is just a common part to all of them and a lead to find the tractor model you are looking for.

I hope this readable. I've been up since early yesterday morning and the brain cells, both of them, are not hitting on all cylinders.

John I forgot about this tractor model index page that goes directly to the parts similar to the old Caseih site. It is kinda squirrely to find the model nrs but it goes all the way back to the 430, nothing prior to 1960. You can find parts list for tractors prior to 1960 by entering a p/n in the search box as I described above or some other way that I am not aware of. I have been using this site for some time haven't really tried to figure it out for more ease of access.
