I just got a Case 800 with a diesel motor. The 3 point hitch was in pieces and it looks like Im missing some parts. Is there somewhere I can find a diagram of all the parts?
Also, anyone have any leads on where I could possibly find an engine or a rebuild kit? This one has a knock, wondering if I should just run it until something happens and replace the motor or just rebuild this one now. Any information helps! I dont know much about these tractors.
 
You have bought a very good tractor but it needs some work to make it better. The good news is it runs. First step is to go to school and learn
everything you can about this tractor. Buy some real Case factory manuals not aftermarket want-to-be's. Service manuals and parts breakdown. The
information is much more detailed and pictures of important steps of repair. The parts manual will give numbers and descriptions that inable you to
search for what you need online or call a salvage yard. Set up a repair area so that you can lay out parts. I like fold up tables and stick bolts through
cardboard to hold them and label where they go. Post pictures and questions on this forum as you progress and you will get help from some of the most
knowledgeable guys around. I would run the motor as little as possible to prevent further damage. I'll leave how to repair to the aforementioned guys.

To start with you can go to tractor photos and look at 800 tractor photos and also you can search this forum for a lot of things.
 
You might consider doing a little detective work trying to isolate which cylinder has the knock. A simple test is to loosen the fuel injection lines one at a time and see if you can detect anything other than that cylinder misfiring. Try various speeds. Maybe only one cylinder needs fixing.
