Looking for any common issues to look for it did have a loader on it not sure on year.Running when parked but sat for fifteen years. They are asking for $3500. Thanks in advance

IMHO way too much for a non-runner. Always assume the worst when buying a tractor that has sat for any length of time. As much as I'd like to see you bring a 1030 back to life, this one is too pricey. (Just put a clutch and pressure plate in our 1030 yesterday) Don

I agree with Don, that's way too high on
price. And you'll hear all the time "it ran
when parked" but there's usually a reason
it was parked and not used for many years.

If you do decide to buy it. take a 1" wrench and crack the oil drain plug. Turn it till almost out and see if any coolant comes out. If so
the engine has problems. Make sure it isn't stuck also....$1000 - $1500 in my opinion if decent rubber. Lots of things to check if it has sat
that long. Make sure the injection pump fuel rack isn't stuck also. Let them get it running to justify the 3500 price.

Too much $$$$. And not enough information, like ,
was it stored in side? Is the engine free or stuck?
Tires good or garbage? Does it have pto, 3 pth and
a draw bar? Common problems with a 1030 that
can see it parked could be , bad clutch, worn
engine, spun crank barrings , cracked heads, and
sleeves leaking. Easy to spend3-5 thousand dollars
on repairs on a tractor.

Thank you all I will not be looking at this tractor as it is too much for the potential condition and a fourteen hour drive away from me.
