Got my new tractor home, Cade 430 triple range diesel , with blade $1,200.00 . Needs some love, but it seems complete, and has oil pressure.. I had written earlier about the very heavy front axle, in comparison to the 430 gas I had many years ago. So here are three pictures of the tractor.

Tires are fair, hood and nose look rough, needs a splish splash of colour appropriate paint, and it will look a lot better. Steering is very heavy, and tie rods are worn and I think the steering shaft is a bit seized in the bushing below the steering wheel. Something to play with.

Looks like a very good buy, Bruce! Without knowing the serial #, I would guess a 1960 or 61 model. I have seen that axle in the parts book, but have never run across a tractor with it. Enjoy.

Are the spindles off-set to the rear to enable the tractor to turn shorter? Is that why the axle looks like it was bent to the rear in the pictures?

I have a 430 with the same front end. To make it wider and more stable i flipped the front tires/wheels 180.Works good for me.

Yup, same front axle as that truckload of 430's sold by our dealer. I remember the spindle and hub extending out like that. It reminded me of a trailer plow axle hub. Don

Just the early style Utility axle they also came with flanged rear axles,, much stouter for loader and backhoe apps, same as the 530 used at that time a shot of my 1962 G430 that uses the same axle, mine also has power steering
