Case 430 Diesel

Hey guys, so i have this 430 that I recovered from the junk yard, and got it running from having water in the injection pump. Ran OK but really not great. so I figured with the age of the tractor that I would get the injectors out and tested/ rebuilt and go from there. They are the old style CAV injectors and I doubt they have ever been removed. Now knowing this, and knowing that injectors being in a head for that period of time if they have never been removed, can be stuck in the bore really good. I was being very careful not to put much pressure with a crow foot, and more trying to rock it back and forth gently to loosen it up, 1, 2, 3 didn't give at all, #4 gave a bit of a pop but then I found out that it was too much the wrong way of a pop, broke the injector in half below the threads of the tip that threads onto the injector body.
So knowing that I have to pull the head now to get the other half out of the head I start removing the valve cover only to find # 1 cylinder has both push rods off of the rockers which I'm sure is where the not running good was 100% coming from even though going through the injectors would be a good idea. Completely should have gone with my guy and experience/schooling to check the rockers first, so entirely my fault.
Here's the question...
This tractor serial appears to be a '66, I have seen that apparently '67 and newer they use pencil injectors, which are more readily available than that CAV style injectors.
Would it be a better idea to find a head and upgrade to the newer injectors or stay with the CAV injectors and just get it fixed up?
