Went and looked at a case 1070 for sale everything worked fine except i was just concerned how the left brake worked fine but the right brake did not work at all and the pedal went all the way to the floor. The pedal felt the same as like a blown brake like in a car dont know if anyone knows what this could be

All kinds of possibilities!!! Linkage between pedal and brake valve broken. Pressure
line between brake valve and slave cylinder ruptured.Slave cylinder leaking. Actuator
arm seized and not returning to home position. Auto adjuster not working. Break discs
worn out. Crawl up int the cab and look at brake pedal linkage, get under cab and have
someone push brake pedal while you watch brake actuating arm on brake housing move, or
not. You have to tell us what is moving and not moving. I can't see it from here.-----

those brakes on a 970or 1070 had a set of shims installed and when those brakes wore to the adjusting limit, the shim was removed and reinstalled outside the cover with the bolts. Look and see if those shims are in or out, might tell you if any brake workhas been done. Next look at the linkage and adjuster, lines and bleeding. brakes on these were never too difficult or troublesome or expensive for me but they never did work as well as the inboard diff brakes that newer/bigger cases or john deere used.

Will: Some 1070's had power brakes, some had "manual" hydraulic brakes. I'm thinking you may have manual hyd's. Remove the hood and look for 2 master cyl's bolted to the firewall. My guess is the right cyl is bone dry. Only use Transmission-Hydraulic oil, the same oil used in the tractor's tranny. Hy Tran comes to mind. DO NOT USE DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID!! If I'm correct, why is the cylinder dry?

Everyone of mine will LOCK the wheels if I want to how much better do you want? run any machine with the brakes on a glaze/smoke the discs and return springs and they are junk even wet brakes do not take that,,
