OK Guys and Gals, what would you consider to be some of the rarer Case tractors out there? Low production models or options not seen much. Lets get some good discussion going here. Thanks, Bill

the 350's may fit into the "rare" category. Like only 1000 produced. Have no idea how many are still around. gobble

I have the 351 and I think I have a rare tractor, until I look at the numbers on any orchard model.

I was in your neighborhood yesterday. I delivered a load to Cooks Orchard. Talked to Jeff for 1/2 hour. Really nice guy. Bill

I will try to post a picture of my 351. I have a facebook page dedicated to 351/350 tractors. THere were 900 or so 351s and a 100 standards. Standards had a heavy non adjustable front axle. There are 40 members to that page. YT registry shows about 10 tractors. IT would probably be safe to say there are less than 100 351s left and maybe less than 10 350s.

Not real rare, but not common either is an '54 S or D series with eagle hitch, live power and foot clutch. Don't know how many D series, but less than 1,500 S series built. How many are left?

I have a 312 rn with a fiberglass hood and I have not heard of another one plus only around 600 312 rn's built. Who decides what is rare.

I think widefront has quite a few rare tractors. He has an SS (only seven made). CH (also only a few made). Spirit of 76. (Say 500 or less) smooth block center exhaust SC (200 or less made). I love his collection.

I have an airborne SI. The original war department manual shows less than 200 made.

I agree with gmccool. Dad has an 870 gas 8 speed open station. I think there were less than 150 of those made.

I like seeing the more odd/different variations

Something I thought about today. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 70 series had a option of 15" wide fenders on open station tractors. I think 12" wide fenders were standard. Probably a few of those were ordered in the prairie country but not in the Midwest.

15” fenders were optional on 770 and 870, the bigger 970 and up had option of 24” for the wide option. Not many 15” out there.

My son has a 870 8 spd gas open station tractor. Has the holes in the front of the hood for the front mount cultivator rods to go thru. Don't know if I've seen another.

I have a 870 with the 15” wide fenders. Not sure how many were produced. Heard less than 50. Can’t prove that.

970 gas tractors and a very few early 70 series 2 wd tractors had side panels with 14 fins. I have a open station 870 diesel PS that was narrow front.

I have two of the 301 diesels. I think they are fairly rare. There were only about 900 built. My dad was a Case back then and sold two of the 301 diesels new. The engines were so bad both of those were in the junkyard within ten years. I wonder how many are still running.

I have a '38 Case L with a full electrical system and starts good and cast wheels that came with rubber tires. 20" on front 14 X 28 on rear. Also have a SC- '53 and a 54 DC both with foot clutch and live PTO and hyds.

Barnyard In your picture I noticed your rear weights. Are these original. If so do you by chance know the part # on them. I'm wanting to add a couple rear weights to mine but want to put on the ones that would have came with it when it was new. Thanks

Heres a few of my low production tractors
I looked for a DC-4 Rice Special for over 20 years before I found this one.

The 1951 D I first saw in the YT photo gallery over 15 years ago. Finally caught up with the owner last year and bought it. He is a great guy with a long history of Case ownership.

Would love to have you. The show was cancelled this year because of nnalert virus but other than that it is always the third Saturday in April. Weather plays a big part of how many attend but normally we have between 80 and 120 tractors and 700 to 1000 people. Since you are from Talladega do you know my friend Ronnie Lott . He owned the CaseIh dealership in Talladega until he retired a few years ago. He usually brings three or four tractors to the show.

I don't. It has been discussed on here before though, general consensus was that demonstrators were "common" compared to them.

I have a 13, and and have never seen another in person. There was one for sale in the last year in Ohio if memory serves. I have seen 100s of cabbed ones.
