Just bought a 1470 and was wondering if there is a way to get a dual pto on it. It has the 1000 on it now. A kit of some kind or swap one from a 1170? Any advice for a new 1470 owner?

No 540 available on them. But you can put an adaptor on and run them half throttle to do most things.

So I could run a 8 to 10 foot, 540 pto, flail mower at just above idle and not tear anything up? Haying equipment too? DKase mentioned something of a kit for a 930 off a 70 series...(something along that line) not the same pto/rear end I guess.

Not the same as converting a 30 series to small 70 series pto. And all those things could be run at that speed fine.
