What could be the cause?

FINALLY!!! After almost two years of working on it, I have my Case SC back together and almost running. I've been able to get it to start but after a few seconds (as seen in the video posted) it shuts off. I have cleaned out the fuel line and carburetor. I'm not sure what else could be causing it to shut off after a short time. Maybe someone out there can hear what the issue is listening to the 5 second video.

Pull the drain plug on the bottom of the carb. Catch the fuel in a container for a minute. If the flow slows, then you have a fuel restriction. My guess either the float isn't right or the needle isn't opening all the way. Probably not pulling a vacuum on the tank as it doesn't run long enough.

To me it sounds more like an ignition or timing issue rather than a fuel problem.

You have a fuel problem

Make sure your tank and fuel line is clear.

Then check out the carb. It doesn’t take much to plug them up

My Farmall M did a very similar thing when I first got it running. Someone I know thought that it was a carb problem so I cleaned the carb again and somehow forgot to put the idle adjusting screw back in the carb

. The tractor started up and ran and I was finally able to drive it out of where it had sat for a decade. Several cans of carb cleaner later the idle adjusting screw is back in the carb and it starts up and runs great.

Fuel problem. Those last two putts before it died gave it away.
