Hi, i recently acquired a David White 885. What would cause the idle to be to high with the idle speed stop screw completely backed off and how can it be slowed down? Thanks

My neighbor, believing himself to be reasonably competent but no experience with injection pumps, ruined his Kubota one trying to fix a leak. Ended up costing him several hundred dollars for a used replacement.
Get Dieseltech's contact info and send it off to him.

Thank you. Is that something a reasonably competent person can do themselves or something requiring it to be sent out somewhere and where can either instructions to do so or recommendations for where to send it be found. Thanks

Most pumps like yours I can repair, test, and return in 350-450 range. E-mail is mhf35diesel@yahoo.com if you have more questions. Pump has a wide spline input shaft, so pump does not need flywheel timing set. Just use the scribe line on the pump flange, it should be aligned with the engine mark now.
