case 434c and 444c planter

The boys are at it again trying to finish up the planter and field cultivator,need to get decals
made for planter, but don't know what planter they have, so what's the difference between the 434c
hill drop and drill and the 434c drill only, thanks

The hill drop planter has a mechanism on the row units and fertilizer openers that holds the seed and fertilizer and drops them in hills rather than seed. There are two shafts on the seed units with open gears that run off the plate shaft and run the drop mechanism. I think the fertilizer openers hook to the seed units some how but don't know how. I have the hill drop planter which I think is the 434 and the drill only is the 444. I can look in my book if you need me to.
